Time Out says

Have you always wondered what will go up on the space formerly occupied by Suan Lum Night Bazaar? This 104-rai prime spot on the corner of Wittayu and Rama IV roads, owned by the Crown Property Bureau, has been leased to giant conglomerate TCC Group aka the empire of Chang Beer tycoon Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi.

Named One Bangkok, this urban development holds the status of being the biggest real-estate investment in Thailand with a total budget of over 120 billion baht. The world’s leading architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) is working with Thai companies A49 and Plan Associates to design the development’s master plan. One Bangkok will comprise five LEED-certified office towers, three residential towers that will also house five hotels, retail spaces and cultural structures. The highlight is a yet-to-be-named skyscraper that’s pegged at more than 380 meters high.

One Bangkok also plans to dedicate a 50-rai portion—basically almost half of the entire plot—to parks and green spaces, not to mention a 40-meter setback from the main roads to allow for shady walkways around the entire area.

The first phase is scheduled to open in 2021. The entire project is expected to be completed in 2025.
