After a massive renovation that lasted three years, the main building of the National Library has reopened its doors to the public. Forget that this was once an old, dull, drafty place. The new National Library features a modern design, vibrant colors and lots of reading tables. Thailand’s main library possesses more than a million books, including ancient tomes that are now stored in a microfilm form. There’s also a mini-theater where you can browse through more than 3,500 movies of different genres, from animation to feature films to documentaries. An audiovisual aid section holds braille books and audio books for visually impaired individuals.
