Architectural and planning company Urban Design and Development Center (UDDC) has teamed up with landscape architecture experts Landprocess and design firm N7A Architects to turn an abandoned railway project into a green pedestrian bridge that brings a new dimension to green public spaces in the city and can change the way Bangkokians appreciate nature.
The elevated garden connects Bangkok and Thon Buri sides and is sandwiched between the busy traffic lanes on Phra Pok Klao Bridge. The 280-meter construction is built on the partition of the never-completed sky train line that was supposed to be Thailand's first modern mass-rapid transport, initiated during Prem Tinsulanonda's government by now-defunct Canadian conglomerate Lavarin.
