Sansiri Public Company Limited is bringing one of today’s most famous Spanish contemporary artists Miquel Barceló to perform live painting in Bangkok. Known for his experimental approach to art, Barceló has created abstract works through mediums such as paintings, drawings, ceramics and cast iron structures in an expressive, gestural manner. One of his most notable artistic creations is the dome ceiling of the “Human Rights and Alliance of Civilisation Chamber” at the United Nations’ Palace of Nations, Geneva, Switzerland (2008).
For the first time in the world, the artist will paint a “live” art piece on a 20m long canvas in front of an audience on a floating barge sailing on the Chao Phraya River. Expect to experience his exceptional creation for two days only on Nov 1-2, and you can also check out a curated selection of Barceló’s art works at the Siam Commercial Bank at Taladnoi Branch Pier.
