Travelling without your four-legged friend hardly counts as a holiday at all. One look into those big, teary puppy dog eyes, and you’ll be questioning why you ever considered leaving them behind. Thankfully, more Aussie hotels are loosening their pet policies, making it easier than ever to bring your furry friend along for the ride. With two long weekends on the horizon – Easter and ANZAC Day – Hotel Indigo is encouraging pet lovers to take their dogs on holiday by offering $1 pet stays for the whole of April. Sounds like it’s time to let the dogs out!

At all three of Hotel Indigo’s Aussie locations – Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane – guests can bring their doggo along for just $1 extra per night on top of the standard room rate, which is cheaper than a puppuccino these days. Your pooch will live the high life in the hotel’s new pet-friendly rooms, fitted with a plush dog bed and blanket, tasty treats, and food and water bowls. Plus, they’ll be pampered with endless pats from the hotel staff.

Now, it's worth sniffing out what's on your dog’s travel bucket list. The two of you could stay just a tennis ball’s throw from the Yarra River at Hotel Indigo Melbourne on Flinders, which is within walking distance of gorgeous green spaces for zoomies galore. If puppuccinos and pats make their tail wag, Hotel Indigo’s newest pet-friendly property in Potts Point will do the trick. Or if your pooch loves lying in the sun, how about a getaway to Hotel Indigo’s art-filled hotel in Brisbane? For just $1 extra a night, how could you say no to a holiday with your furry friend?
