There’s a subscription for pretty much everything these days – streaming services, gyms, meal kits, pet food, wine clubs and yes, even toilet paper. Now, you can even sign up for Qantas’ flexible airport lounge subscription model, with the new offering granting you access to Qantas Club and international Qantas Business Lounges for a reduced monthly fee.
With a Qantas Club Flexible membership, jetsetters can gain access to Qantas’ 30 once-exclusive lounges for a 28-day period, with the subscription automatically renewed unless cancelled. The flexible subscription costs $99 for 28 days, with a $129 one-off joining fee.
This pay-as-you-go model eliminates the need for travellers to splash out on Qantas Club’s current one, two or four-year membership packages, which currently range between $699 and $2,399, in addition to a one-off $129 joining fee.
So, what are the perks? Subscribers will unlock access to 30 of its Qantas Club, Qantas Domestic and Qantas International Business lounges in Australia and around the world. This includes access to many of Qantas’ business-class lounge amenities, including complimentary snacks and drinks (bubbly, anyone?), showers, free Wi-Fi, dedicated workstations, newspapers and magazines, as well as some peace and privacy from the mayhem outside. However, unlike the top-tier and annual Qantas Club members, they won’t be able to bring a plus one, access partner lounges, or benefit from additional baggage allowance (after March 31, 2025).
