It’s no wonder that hundreds of thousands of people make the pilgrimage to Australia’s Red Centre each year. Home to one of our nation’s most recognisable and sacred landmarks, Uluru, this enchanting corner of the Aussie outback is full of bucket-list adventures – from mesmerising light shows and special cultural immersions to ancient walks and once-in-a-lifetime dining experiences. Now, the allure of this desert wonderland is about to become even stronger with the launch of an epic, new multi-day hike inside Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Set to debut in April 2026, the five-day 'Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Signature Walk' will be the first experience to allow guests to stay overnight inside the World Heritage-listed national park. The award-winning Tasmanian Walking Company developed this epic 54-kilometre trek in close collaboration with the Anangu Traditional Owners, whose people have lived on this sacred land for more than 30,000 years. It's been almost ten years in the making, born from a life-changing experience the company's co-owner Brett Godfrey had in 2015, where he walked 150 kilometres alongside Traditional Owners from the South Australian border to Uluru.

“It was one of my life's great experiences and it made me want to sensitively share this cultural phenomenon with anyone prepared to tackle the desert and immerse themselves in Anangu history. This walk has been a decade in development, but 500 million years in the making," said Godfrey.

Uniting two of Australia’s most iconic landmarks, hikers will adventure across 54 kilometres of desert trails, native mulga woodlands and cresting red dunes until they reach the final destination – Uluru. The all-inclusive, fully-guided experience for up to 14 guests will include breathtaking sunrise and stargazing experiences, chef-prepared meals featuring native ingredients, and Anangu-led workshops where guests can foster a deep connection to the culture and history of the lands.

The Uluru-Kata Tjuta Signature Walk will also mark the first time visitors can stay overnight inside the World Heritage-listed national park in premium, sustainable accommodation. This includes secluded eco camps for the first two nights, and private lodgings for the final two.
