Time Out says

Join the grand procession at Mexic-Arte Museum’s Viva la Vida, Austin’s longest-running Day of the Dead festival, which starts with a parade through East Austin and downtown and ends with traditional food, activities, music and a lowrider exhibition. This year’s festival honors Frida Kahlo—costumes inspired by the Mexican painter are encouraged.
