Epic Tales from Ancient India: Paintings from the San Diego Museum of Art

Most of the paintings on display during this exhibition depict scenes of adventure—abduction, betrayal and heroic battles. But they also serve as introduction to classic Indian and Persian texts, such as "Ramayana," "Bhagavata Purana" and the Persian Book of Kings, "Shahnameh."
