The Israeli-born, Philly-raised chef living in New Orleans with three restaurants to his name is speaking about his book named after one of them, not to mention himself: Shaya. It’s part cookbook, part memoir with stories about places, people and the food that connects them. Recipes include roasted chicken with harissa and speckled trout with tahini and pine nuts. We just wish there was a tasting after the reading.
