Since 1993, the Sustainable Food Center has been committed to cultivating a healthy community by teaching sustainable gardening techniques, putting on weekly farmers’ markets and hosting cooking and nutrition classes for those facing health disparities. They also provide cooking classes open to the general public! Buying someone a spot in one is truly a gift that keeps on giving since proceeds go towards supporting the SFC’s free programs. Expect to choose from a diverse selection of classes; their current offerings include how to use spices, edible holiday gifts and tamales.
