Venezia Gelato (CLOSED)

One glance at Venezia’s website and you will know the owners, who came here straight from Italy, mean serious gelato business. Opened just recently on South Lamar, this modern black-and-white shop features Venitian gelato made using traditional methods and served alongside Italian espresso. Find familiar flavors like hazelnut and pistachio and more unusual offerings like apple cinnamon and mint, plus donut-shaped, glazed gelato on a stick (which they call Mr. Ring) and cakeball-shaped gelato lollipops. And three words: tiramisu gelato cake (layers of ladyfingers spread with gelato in lieu of mascarpone).
