Co-founders Anthony Sobotik and Chad Palmatier opened Lick in 2010, inspired by the small-town creameries Chad grew up with in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. All their ice cream is made with non-GMO milk and cream from Mill-King Creamery (from outside Waco), seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs from local farms plus local spirits, chocolate, honey, sugar, coffee, cheese and nuts. This summer’s hottest flavors are loquat margarita, lemonade pound cake, dewberry corn cobbler, garden lemon and cilantro lime. They also offer a menu of vegan options made with a coconut milk base, including fan favorites coconut/peanut butter/chocolate and carrot/ginger/coconut.
