Time Out says

Cuban flavors will infuse this four-course meal at East Austin Chinese restaurant Old Thousand with dishes like an arroz con pollo that feature chicken braised in xiao-xing aromatic rice milk. The pop-up was inspired by Apis Restaurant and Apiary chef Adam Brick, who wanted to blend his Cuban heritage with his love of Chinese food. He'll team up with Old Thousand chef James Dumapit for this cross-cultural feast, which benefits Casa Marianella, a homeless shelter that focuses on new immigrants. You can reserve a table by calling Old Thousand, but walk-ins are also welcome.
