Some things just go together, you know? Zilker Park and puppies. BBQ and meat sweats. Doughnuts and...tequila?

Thursday, February 22, is National Margarita Day—we're not entirely sure who established this most holy holiday, but we're rolling with it. And while there are plenty of margaritas to be had around town, only one is offered in doughnut form. Tequila giant Jose Cuervo has teamed up with Voodoo Doughnut to produce a margarita doughnut, featuring Cuervo-centric lemon jelly, vanilla frosting, lime dust and white sprinkles (as a salt rim—get it, get it?). They've also come up with two hand-frosted, supersized cake doughnuts—think six regular dougnuts smashed together. It's meant for sharing, but let's be real, you could probably polish it off on your own after a rough day.

The (smaller) boozy doughnuts will be handed out for free on Thursday while supplies last, and will be available on Friday and Saturday for $2.50. Translation: You're probably going to be having doughnuts for breakfast on Thursday. Oh and don't worry about getting tipsy off the sweets—all that alcohol has been cooked off. But in case you do want a buzz, we know of a few tequila and mescal bars that can help you out.
