A ton of activations are kicking off starting tomorrow as SXSW begins its 32nd year (check out a few of our favorites), but the latest announcement arrives just in time for International Women's Day. Bumble announced the full lineup of their "Bumble Presents: Empowering Connections" activation, and we're feeling all kinds of boss babes feels.
The event, which takes place at Fair Market on March 9 and 10 from 11am to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm, features women speakers, musicians and activists, including Bumble CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd. The daytime events are open to both badge holders and those who've downloaded the Bumble app, and include stylist and fashion icon Rachel Zoe, a trio of talented songwriters speaking on the Songwriters: Making Music That Unites a Movement panel, activist and author Aija Mayrock, Essence senior editor Charreah Jackson, filmmaker and producer Yoruba Richen, and more. Evening performances (available only to badge holders) include HAIM and Era Noble.
“This brilliant and talented line-up at 'Empowering Connections' share...a dedication to making a real and lasting impact in the areas where women have been traditionally marginalized,” said Whitney Wolfe Herd.
Bumble will also be presenting the annual ICM Showcase at the Belmont on March 15 (8pm to 2am), where an all-female lineup of artists will be performing, from Willow Smith and Rapsody to Kamaiyah, Kodie Shane and Izar.
