Were you outside around 4pm this afternoon? There was some weird shit happening. Namely, rain turned into sleet, and then, for a brief moment, sleet turned into snow. It was snowing in Austin. I repeat: It was snowing in Austin.
The joy lasted for mere seconds, as snowflakes melted the moment they hit the ground. With temperatures hovering around 40 degrees, it was cold and wet but nothing was really sticking. Still, that was definitely snow. Or sleet. Or...something. Right?
Temperatures are supposed to rise to the mid-50s tomorrow, and the mid-60s over the weekend. Rain will continue until later tonight, with temps dropping down to the low 30s. Translation: Be safe on the streets, kids—and enjoy the snow (sleet? hail? what exactly is falling from the sky right now?) while it lasts.
