Happy Valentine's Day, lovers. There are plenty of things that have to do with chocolates and flowers and love-themed cocktails happening today. But if you want to avoid the romantic holiday with every fiber of your being, here are three things to do that don't involved lovey dovey stuff.

OUTsider, an Austin-based nonprofit that celebrates LGBTQ+ communities through film, dance, music and more, is bringing its annual festival and conference to the Vortex for five days of theater, conversation and cultural enrichment. It's called OUTsider Fest, and it starts today! This year's theme? "OUT of Time."

The Ah Via Musicom Tour is named for Eric Johnson's 1990 album of the same name that translates loosely to "communicating through music." Catch him at the Paramount Theatre tonight as original band members Tommy Taylor and Kyle Brock join Johnson to play the album in its entirety.

Alright, we had to throw an anti-Valentine's Day event in here. At Speakeasy's Terrace59, DJ kidGorilla will be spinning TLC and more great artists from the ’90s at No Scrubs: Anti-Valentine's Day '90s Hip-Hop Dance Party. In the immortal words of T-Boz, Left Eye and Chilli: Don't sit on your broke ass—RSVP here.
