The Free Fitness Series continues today at Republic Park with a session of rowing and circuit training from Rō Fitness. Class starts at 6:30pm, and you don't have to bring a thing. (Except for water. It's going to be in the 90s today; please bring water.)

Craving some mid-week seafood? Alcomar is bringing the taste of the Gulf Coast to its popular Mexican seafood restaurant on South First tonight at 7pm. This is the first of a three-part, multi-course dinner series—dubbed Coast to Coast—highlighting (you guessed it) coastal cuisines. Tickets include drink pairings, tax and gratuity; snag ’em here.

Stop by BookPeople for an evening with Jesmyn Ward. The author with not one but two National Book Awards to her name will talk about her newest novel, Sing, Unburied, Sing, in conversation with Kirkus Reviews editor Clay Smith. Tickets include a paperback copy of the lyrical book about family bonds and a teenage boy trying to understand what it means to be a man.
