We're only a couple days into the week and we're already in need of gelato. Good thing Gelateria Gemelli is offering free scoops (all day!) of the salted caramel variety in honor of their three-year anniversary. Not only that, but they're also celebrating with free prosecco from 9 to 11pm. Happy birthday, Gemelli!

If you've been anxiously awaiting for Super Troopers 2—because, let's be honest, the first one is a national treasure—then you'll want to be at Gourdough's Public House on South Lamar from 11am to 1pm. The donut haven is throwing a Super Troopers 2 launch party, and some of the actual cast (Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, Erik Stolhanske) will be there to maintain order. Gordough's will be offering three limited edition doughnuts: The Blind Pig (mustache-shaped with chocolate fudge icing and aviators), The Super Baked (filled with brownie batter and topped with cream cheese icing, brownie bites, cookie dough pieces, graham crackers, marshmallow fluff and salty potato chips) and The Fat Farva (a doughnut burger with two patties, fried cheese, bacon, garlic mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato and onion with a side shot of maple syrup and a liter of cola). Get there early, as the first 50 people will score a free Blind Pig doughnut.

A successful Houston artist who could easily sell out Mohawk’s outdoor stage, it’s telling that Robert Ellis (joined by his band, the Perfect Strangers) instead chose to play two intimate, back-to-back nights inside the Red River venue—starting tonight. For those who don’t know him, he’s a master lyrical storyteller with just enough twang to consider him country, but with a solid alt edge that’ll still rile you up right. Show starts at 8pm.
