The new year is officially under way (has everyone recovered from their debaucherous night yet?), and if your resolution was to get out more—well, we've got a couple ideas. To start: how about giving a local shop some serious love? Yesterday, popular vintage boutique Friends & Neighbors announced that they'd be closing for good on January 13 after a four-year run. We're super bummed about it, but starting today they'll be marking everything down 50%—so at least we can dry our tears with some quality vintage T-shirts.

There may not be snow on the ground (yet), but you can still pretend you've been at the slopes all day with Hotel San José's Après-Ski Tuesdays. From 5-10pm, embrace the winter spirit with seasonal drink specials, hearty food and ’80s jams. Do we even need to remind you to bundle up?

Free Week kicked off last night, and there's no way this cold spell is going to keep us from checking out shows all week. Tonight, catch Fort Never at Cheer Up Charlie's, Annabelle Chairlegs at Mohawk, The Wild Now at Stubb's, and a host of other (totally free) shows.
