For those who’ve been keen on King Krule since the release of his acclaimed 2013 debut 6 Feet Beneath the Moon, this Emo's show announcement probably evoked a collective “FINALLY”—it'll be Archy Marshall’s first proper gig in ATX (which ain’t so bad considering he was only 16 during that last visit). Now, at age 23 with two additional albums, we’ll bear witness to an artist at the peak of his prime.

Feeling more like indie pop tonight? Stop by the Historic Scoot Inn, where you'll find Michelle Zauner of Little Big League bringing her solo act to Austin from Brooklyn. It's called Japanese Breakfast, and she'll be crooning tunes from her debut album, Psychopomp

Don't let this month's Story Department theme—"Suitable for Children"—fool you: the event is still just for adults. Tonight at Home Slice Pizza, storytellers riffing on the theme include Katherine Moore and Kris Kovach. Grab a slice of pizza and maybe a beer and settle in for a couple hours of Moth-like tales.
