You may already have a dedicated coffee shop, but if you're looking to expand your java options this year, stop by Merit Coffee in the Seaholm district. The San Antonio-based coffee shop quietly opened at the end of 2017 and is now in full swing, roasting their own coffee and serving baked goods from Bakery Lorraine, Tacodeli tacos, Juice Society's juices and doughnuts from Maybelle's Donuts.

First Friday is back at Art.Work Austin for a night of art, cocktails and music. From 7 to 11pm, join other like-minded art fans for a crawl along East 5th Street, viewing works by Robert Page, Jennifer Forman, Dawn Okoro, Laura Lee Romaine and more. Tito's is providing the cocktails, you provide the color commentary.

Haven't made it to a Free Week show yet because it was a "school night"? The party is still going, and tonight's selection of shows is tops. Check out Los Coast with Emily Wolfe and Otis the Destroyer at Mohawk; Honey and Salt, Dream Eater and Delicate Boys at Sidewinder; and Mobley and Fort Never at Empire Garage, among others.
