It's the weekend! You've worked hard to get to this point, so you deserve to play hard, too. We've curated our favorite events happening around Austin for the next few days, from pop-ups to festivals to grand openings—all you have to do is round up your crew. And since it's SXSW weekend, we're adding picks for both those going to the festival and those who are staying as far away from it as possible. Have a great weekend, y'all!

Fri 9

SXSW: ATX Startup Crawl
The festival and conference kicks off with this annual (free!) crawl through the streets of Austin. You'll need to register to get the map, but stops include the Sputnik ATX, Capital Factory and the House of Scandanavia pop-ups. Fri at 4pm

Lovett or Leave It
Jon Lovett, a former speechwriter for President Barack Obama and co-host of the podcast Pod Save America, brings together a cast of comedians, actors, journalists and more for a roundup of the week's news. And no better timing than with the Texas primary just days earlier. Score tickets hereFri at 10:30pm

Sat 10

SXSW: The Viceland Bus
There's some serious shit that goes down on the Viceland Bus (Action Bronson himself has been kicked off), which will open its doors this Saturday for three days. The bus is parked at 98 Red River Street, and there will be DJs. And goats. And free stuff. Get on it. Sat at 10am

Rodeo Austin
Part rodeo, part carnival, part music festival, Rodeo Austin offers a little bit of everything. Watch top ranked rodeo athletes compete in bareback riding, steer wrestling, bull riding and more, or hit the fair for some games and rides. Here for the music? Ludacris, Young the Giant and Gladys Knight are just a few of the award-winning artists performing. Sat at 9am

Sun 11

SXSW: UPROXX House
The UPROXX House is throwing its finale party this evening, and Talib Kweli will be closing it out with a killer DJ set—followed by his an interview about his upcoming album with Mos Def. Make sure to RSVP here. Sun at 6pm

Whisler's Crawfish Boil
Louisiana Wild is providing the mudbugs for this annual crawfish boil at Whisler's timed to kick off SXSW (but open to everyone, badge or no badge). Boss Street Brass Band starts playing at 3pm and, this being a cocktail bar, you can expect a drink special or two. Sun at noon
