Women's March and Rally Day
This year's rally is broken up into three events, all equally in need of rousing support. Starting at City Hall at 10am, the day will kick off with an Impeachment Rally and March, featuring The Resistance Choir of South Central Texas and a spirited lineup of speakers. At noon, the Texas Handmaids Procession makes its way to the Capitol for the 45th TX Roe V Wade Rally from 1-4pm. There will be a speech by Wendy Davis, poetry performers and musicians focusing on the topic of reproductive justice in the State of Texas. Bring your posters, your banners, your hats, your outdoor voices. Sat at 10am
Banger’s Barrel Bonanza Smokeout 2.0
Head to this Rainey Street favorite for one helluva weekend party. Order (a piece of) the whole hog smoked on-site and served up on a $15 plate with baked beans, southern greens and coleslaw. There will be live music all day and beer on tap. Sat at 11am
Cuvée Cold Brew New Can Launch Party
Raise a glass of cold brew—or cold beer—to toast this local company's new look. There will be free samples of cold brew, cold brew floats made with Lick Honest Ice Creams, and the new cold brew "Brewchata." Plus, $1 Austin Beerworks Sputnik, brewed with Cuvée Coffee. Sat at noon
Magnolia Cafe's 39th Anniversary
This is not a drill, we repeat, this is not a drill: free queso to celebrate Magnolia Cafe's 39th birthday. Make sure to ask for the "queso day" queso. Sat at 2pm
Bon Iver
More than a year after the release of third album 22, A Million, Bon Iver—brainchild of prolific singer-songwriter Justin Vernon—finally returns to Austin for a three-night run at ACL Live. Weren't able to snag tickets yet? Determined fans shouldn’t be deterred: the venue is known to release extra tickets day-of, and there are some reasonably priced seats here. Don’t sleep on what will surely be one of 2018’s landmark shows! Sat, Sun, Mon at 8pm
