It's the weekend! You've worked hard to get to this point, so you deserve to play hard, too. We've curated our favorite events happening around Austin for the next few days, from pop-ups to festivals to grand openings—all you have to do is round up your crew. Have a great weekend, y'all!

Fri 2

Michael Pollan
This autobiographical talk from the author of The Omnivore's Dilemma follows his thinking and writing since he first planted a vegetable garden under the influence of Thoreau and Emerson. Topics will span farm to table to magic mushrooms. Fri at 8pm

Trevor Noah
After publishing his first book, Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, in 2016, the Daily Show host hits the road with some stories that will be funny, poignant and skewering. Fri at 7:30pm; Sat at 7pm and 10pm

Pyschedelic Medicine
Sick of the stigma associated with psychedelics and marijuana for medical use (or in general, for that matter)? Here’s your chance to put your money where your mouth is and see some amazing live music in the process. MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies), will be accepting donations onsite while Megafauna, These Clouds are Ghosts, the Human Circuit, Palm Daze, Transit Method and Fitnez + Hellth all rock out for the cause. Fri at 8pm

Sat 3

Austin Bouldering Project's 2nd Anniversary
Pancakes. Free Beer. Birthday cake. What more do you need on a Saturday? Help celebrate Austin Bouldering Project's 2nd anniversary with a day-long party. There will be free yoga classes, food trucks, competitions, film screenings, raffles and more. Y'all. This is going to be awesome. Sat at 9am

FronteraFest
FronteraFest is still going strong, and Saturday sees both Heidi and a selection of the best performances from the week on the docket. You'd be wise to check out at least one day of the largest fringe festival in the Southwest, where artists, actors, musicians, poets and other performers come to our fair city for a month of art off the beaten path. Sat at 3pm and 8pm

Sun 4

Super Bowl Sunday
Oh hey, Super Bowl Sunday. What took you so long? If you're still looking for a place to watch the game, be sure to check out our roundup of Super Bowl watch parties. Whoever you're rooting for, just know that nachos are always the star of the game. Sun at 5:30pm
