It's New Year's Eve weekend! You've worked hard (all year!) to get to this point, so you deserve to play hard, too. We've curated our favorite events happening around Austin for the next few days, from pop-ups to parties to festivals—all you have to do is round up your crew. Have a great weekend, y'all!

Fri 29

Soft Cheeses & Bubbles: Date Night Edition
One way to ease into the weekend? A certified cheese coma. Bring your lover—or at least your best platonic cheese lover—to this cheese, charcuterie and chocolate tasting. It's BYOB, meaning you're definitely going to be enjoying some wine with that cheese. Fri at 6:30pm

Sat 30

IKKiCON
Anime fans, mark this one down. This three-day convention is a celebration of all things Japanese animation and manga. Panels feature celebrity voice-over artists, and there’s an art show and a cosplay contest. Fri, Sat & Sun at noon

Sun 31

All the NYE parties
If you're a planner, you probably have your NYE plans locked down already. But if you're still figuring out how to usher in the new year with your fellow Austinites, may we suggest a few options? Our list of the best NYE parties in town has something for every partygoer, from a silent disco to a masquerade to a zen ceremony. Happy New Year! Sun until 2018
