It's the weekend! You've worked hard to get to this point, so you deserve to play hard, too. We've curated our favorite events happening around Austin for the next few days, from pop-ups to festivals to grand openings—all you have to do is round up your crew. Have a great weekend, y'all!

Fri 13

Ramen Heads debut
This film by director Koki Shigeno profiles six notable ramen shops, including Tomita, the restaurant under the care of Japan's reigning ramen king, Osamu Tomita. Stick around afterward for a Q&A with Peached Tortilla owner Eric Silverstein and Daruma Ramen manager Andrew Dangerfield. And make sure to hold onto your ticket stub—it's good for a discounted bowl on the Peached Tortilla's Thursday ramen nights. Fri at 7:30pm

Soccer Mommy
Leading up to this year’s SXSW, several music buffs mentioned Soccer Mommy (stage name for singer/guitarist Sophie Allison) as a must-see act. They weren’t wrong: songs from her debut album Clean resonated with the pop-infused stylings of late ’90s/early aughts alt-rock, simple yet highly affective for their head-on emotional lyrics and memorable hooks. Don’t miss the chance to catch her at Stubb's. Fri at 9pm

Sat 14

Keep Austin Beautiful Day
Put on some work clothes and head to the picnic tables at Pease Park for a morning of beautifying the grassy fields and greenbelt. Your good samaritan perks include refreshments and a free T-shirt. Sat at 9am

Art City Austin
Fancy an art festival along Lady Bird Lake? Yeah, us too. This year's annual fine arts festival features more than 120 painters, sculptors, jewelry makers and more who will have their work on display and for sale. Sat & Sun at 10am

Iron Man 10th anniversary screening
Looking for a really immersive movie experience? Check out this anniversary screening of Iron Man, where explosives go off every time there's an explosion on screen. You can also try ziplining across the lake, jumping off high-fall platforms and chucking hatchets before the superhero flick starts after sunset. Marvel Comics costumes are encouraged—the costume contest winner gets $500—and there will be a bunch of superhero-themed games and cocktails. Sat at 6:30pm

Jim Jefferies
The Jim Jeffries Show host has five major stand-up specials under his belt, including a buzzy routine on guns and gun control in the United States. Catch him at the Paramount on Saturday—maybe humor can bridge the partisan divide. Sat at 7pm

Sun 15

ATX Food Truck Festival
Coldstone Creamery, Bert's Chicken & Waffle and Happy Lobster are among the food trucks gracing Barton Creek Square for this Sunday festival. Eating and drinking are the main activities, of course, but you can also find life-sized Jenga and beer pong games on the grounds, not to mention a few Comic-Con characters if you want to snap a pic. Sun at 10am

craftHER market
This biannual #bossbabesATX craft market is a one-stop shop for stunning jewelry, apparel, art and other goods made by talented local craftswomen. Sun at 11am
