"We don't need another happy hour spot," said no one in Austin ever. Sure, our happy hour game is already strong, but a few more half-off drink specials couldn't hurt. Allow us to introduce you to these four restaurants and bars who have decided to bless us with discounted drinks and bites—because apparently there is a happy hour god.
Fareground: Austin's first food hall has been open for a few months now, and they've finally decided to get into the happy hour game. Every vendor is offering a discounted dish or drink, including $2 off kolaches at Henbit, $1 off tacos at Dai Due Taqueria, $3 sausage links at Easy Tiger, $4 beers and $5 wines and cocktails at the Fareground Bar, and a slew of other specials. Mon-Fri 3-6pm
Il Brutto: The new Italian restaurant on the east side has been killing it since opening, and now there's an even better reason to settle into their dreamy patio space—a happy hour menu that includes half-off specials on the entire drink menu. Cocktails, wine by the bottle and an impressive amaro list are all part of the boozy deal. Mon-Fri 5-7pm
The Cavalier: A new bar has slid into Webberville, and it's brought a solid happy hour along with it. The Cavalier, which took over the Dog & Duck Pub, offers a daily happy hour that slashes drink prices by $1 and offers $3 snacks. Choose from cocktails like the frozen Red Headed Stranger made with El Silencio mezcal, strawberry puree and lemonade, or the Plantation Pineapple Daiquiri. Daily 4-7pm
Second Bar + Kitchen: The downtown bar and restaurant just launched a new happy hour menu, and we're all about it: $2 off snacks, pizzas, 16-ounce beers, wines by the glass and house cocktails. That means you'll get to enjoy their famous Black + Bleu pizza with black truffles, bleu cheese, pork belly, medjool dates and red onions for a few bucks less—and that's a good enough reason to go for us. Daily 4-6pm
