Finding Euphoria abruptly relocates to Downtown Austin

After weeks of attempting to get a permit for Carson Creek Ranch, the organizers of Finding Euphoria—Austin's largest electronic music fest—have decided to pull the plug on the camping location and move the shows to various downtown locations.

The news came this afternoon, when a statement was posted to the fest's website detailing the change. "Late yesterday the Euphoria team made the difficult decision to change the venue of Finding Euphoria from our home at Carson Creek Ranch," they explained. "We are rescheduling the artists from our lineup to venues in Downtown Austin including Mohawk, Barracuda, and Empire Control Room and Garage over the weekend of May 11-12, and in addition to these shows, ticket holders will receive free passes to our next event at Carson Creek Ranch."

Unable to obtain the permit that has been issued to the festival in previous years, Euphoria wouldn't have been given a chance to apply again until May 8—which was far too close for comfort. Instead, artists have been rebooked and ticket holders will be able to honor their passes during the May 12 shows. If you bought camping passes, you'll also be able to attend the shows on May 11.

If you haven't bought a ticket yet, there's still time—but with the venue change, capacity is limited. You can find tickets here; a revised lineup will be released shortly.
