Let's get to the bad news first. After 20 years, Fadó Irish Pub—a downtown staple—will be closing at the end of this month. They have plans to move to a new, as-of-yet undetermined location, while a restaurant from hospitality group FBR Management takes over.

Now, the good news: You didn't think Fadó would leave without throwing one final St. Patrick's rager, did you? On Saturday, hundreds of Austinites will flock to the party, which takes over 4th street and starts at 9am. Bands will be playing on the Fadó patio from 10am to 11pm, including Daithi Arwine, Silver Thistle, Chandler and the Bings and more, with some of the patio acts playing separate sets throughout the day on the street. The cover is set at $10 from 9am until 2pm, at which point it goes up to $20.

Looking for a few other St. Patrick's Day parties to celebrate throughout the day? Here are some more of our favorites:

St. Patrick's Day Festival at Pioneer Farms: This is Austin’s largest St. Patrick’s Day celebration, so you know the Guinness will be flowing. Enjoy Celtic music, Irish dancers, corned beef and cabbage, and plenty of beer throughout the day—just don’t forget to wear green.

Jack & Ginger's St. Patrick's Day Celebration: Of course you don't have to drink on St. Patrick's Day but this pub will have 82 beers on tap—including green beer, natch. There will be shepherd's pie, too, plus live music on two outdoor stages, including bagpipes.

South by St. Paddy's Day: This is where SXSW and St. Paddy's merge. Head to Infinite Monkey Theorem for a free glass of wine if you're among the first 100 guests and $5 wines and green slushies if you're not. Freebirds World Burrito will also be on site selling $4 taco baskets, and Planet LA Records will have about a dozen local and touring artists ready to take the stage.

St. Patrick's Day Hangover Brunch: Need some shamrock-colored hair of the dog after all the St. Patrick's Day festivities? On Sunday, The Park is pulling green pints and serving up $1 pineapple-basil mimosas and $5 Irish coffees (yes, you can get it frozen). The $16 brunch buffet includes biscuits and gravy, applewood smoked bacon, migas, sausage, French toast, pancakes and more.
