It just might be a Christmas miracle: as the temps continue to drop this week and throughout next week, snow and sleet might be in the cards for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
After flurries landed on our streets a few weeks ago, the weather has been all over the place—in the high ’70s one day, in the low ’50s the next. But Arctic cold fronts are expected to roll into Central Texas on both Friday and Saturday night, with temperatures hitting the low ’30s in the evening. KXAN is calling it potentially the coldest weather so far this season. Precipitation has been fluctuating constantly, so it's hard to predict whether there will be enough to cause legit snow, but the forecast right now is showing rain in Central Texas on Christmas Day. And cold temps plus rain sure equals something close to snow.
Translation? Put on some Bing Crosby, bundle up and start staring out the window looking for flakes like the kid you once were. And then once it's over, immediately wish for 70-degree weather again.
