Celebrate 4/20 in Austin with dank beer, late-night parties and all the munchies

We may be a stomping ground to the biggest stoner out there (Snoop Dogg has admitted that he was once out-smoked by Willie), but there's still a long way to go before we're all blazing in public. Still, 4/20 always elicits a few celebrations around town, and we've rounded up a handful to keep y'all high...on life. Or whatever.

W Austin is hosting Woodstock (in partnership with 101X) starting at noon on the WET Deck. Tickets are $10, and you'll be able to enjoy music by DJ Kurupt, specialty cocktails and a "very special guest performance" at 1:30pm.

To honor all things dank, Banger's Sausage and Beer Garden is throwing a 4/20 party with special beers, dishes and live music. Among a few beer offerings: SweetWater Brewing Company's 420, Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company's Legalize It and Independence Brewing Co.'s Highboy.

Urban Axes is throwing a Four/Twenty party from 5 to 8pm. For $40, you and a friend will be able to work out any aggression by throwing axes for an hour. Who knows, you may end up feeling super mellow, man.

Talk about satisfying the munchies: Freebirds is offering a free pot brownie with a purchase of their Monster Burrito. Ok, so the brownie may not actually have pot in it, but it's a double chocolate delight that'll cure whatever ails ya.

Available only on 4/20, Hopdoddy Burger Bar is serving the High Roller—and it's kind of insane. The burger is made with a taco-seasoned beef patty, then topped with pepperoni, mozzarella, Flamin’ Hot Cheeto ketchup and cool ranch fries. Held between two hemp seed buns (ha!), the whole thing comes with a spoonful of cookie dough on the side. Righteous.

Head to the Electric Church for 420 Reefer Madness, a late-night show featuring Sheverb (10pm), Dusty Santamaria + Moira Ichiban (11pm), Dub Seance (midnight) and Haze County (1am). There's a $10 cover and you can BYOB (that's booze, not buds).

Among the many crawfish boils happening this season is Oskar Blues' Smokeout Crawfish Boil. Sip on sour brews while you indulge in crawfish and other munchies, then test your skills at a hop-joint rolling contest to win some swag. Graham Wilkinson Music will provide the live entertainment.
