Austin Art Month (yes, we now have an official month dedicated to art—thanks Mayor Adler!) kicks off tomorrow, and if you're a lover of all things fine art, contemporary art, photography, digital art—hell, even if you're just curious about it—there are a ton of events taking place around the city over the next few weeks. To get you started, here are the best shows that are bringing art to the people this weekend:

POP Austin International Art Show (Nov 9-12) begins tomorrow, the 4th annual showcase featuring work from 41 artists specializing in a wide range of mediums. Held at Fair Market, POP brings in artists from across the globe, along with seven Austin locals, to share their work and give POP Talks through the four-day event.

If you're a fan of the East Austin Studio Tour (also happening this weekend, Nov 11 and 12), check out Due EAST on Nov 9. The official kick-off and fundraiser to the tour gives guests the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the EAST Group Exhibition, all while enjoying cocktails, a DJ, games and a silent auction. You can support the tour even more by purchasing a ticket to the dinner held beforehand, a four-course feast by local artist and chef Sonya Cote.

Art Alliance Austin's annual ARTBASH will be taking over Native Hostel on Nov 10, featuring eight artists who have created work around the theme of immersion paired with mobility. Get your tickets to the opening night here, or visit throughout the rest of the weekend from 11am-6pm; artists will be giving talks on their work during happy hour.

Also starting on Nov 10: the Waller Creek Creek Show, featuring nine nights of six light-based pieces of art displayed along the creek between 5th and 8th streets. It's Instagram material, guaranteed.
