Channel the ’90s at the W Hotel's REWIND happy hour: There are lots of places to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Austin but you might consider the W Austin's weekly 90s happy hour—this week DJ Diggy Dutch is spinning Selena in the Living Room Lounge. Special cocktails will be on sale at 90s prices, and, to toast the holiday, you can try a tasting with Ancho Reyes and Milagro for free. Friday at 5pm
Clink pint glasses at Cider Fest: The Whip In will tap more than two dozen ciders from around the world for the second annual Cider Fest that features curated flights and hometown heroes like Texas Keeper Cider, Argus Cidery, Austin Eastciders and Bishop Cider Co. And if you're feeling peckish, don't worry—some of the menu pairings include dishes made with cider, like the steamed mussels. Saturday at 1pm
Celebrate Atlas Obscura Day at a weird museum: Atlas Obscura is hosting over 170 events in 36 states and 25 countries—including one event in Austin at the Museum of Natural & Artificial Ephemerata. Explore this family-run museum dedicated to preserving endangered collections. Tour the "impermanent collection" at two different time slots, but be warned—tickets sell out fast! Saturday 10-11am or 4-5pm
Beef up your record collection at the Austin Record Convention: Record lovers, this one's for you: The Austin Record Convention is a massive record sale taking place over two days, selling over one million 78s, 45s, LPs, CDs, cassettes, memorabilia and more. Dealers from across the country will be bringing their best collections, which visitors have access to for a mere $5 for both days. Saturday 10am-6pm; Sunday 10am-5pm
