Eat the best BBQ in town at Austin's first Hot Luck Festival: Like a potluck or a tailgate but with Aaron Franklin at the barbecue pit, Laura Sawicki passing out dessert, and a cooler stocked with your favorite beer, cider, wine and spirits, Hot Luck is a brand new food and music festival hitting the city. The lineup includes music by the Black Lips, Rayland Baxter, and Black Joe Lewis; and chefs from restaurants such as Contigo, Odd Duck, Dai Due and Momofuku. Thursday-Sunday at various times

Catch a free show when Conor Oberst pops up at Waterloo Records: Conor Oberst né Bright Eyes is on tour following the release of his new album, Salutations, and you can catch him for free when he performs at Waterloo Records on Friday. If you can knock off early, try to get there before 3pm for a good spot in the cozy space. Friday at 3pm

Grow your art collection at the West Austin Studio Tour: This free, annual, self-guided art tour is back for a second weekend. After picking up a guide at Austin Public Library branches, choose from 172 artist studios, 45 galleries, 92 temporary exhibitions, 11 happenings, 6 libraries and 5 schools where you can explore the works of some of Austin's most talented artists. Saturday & Sunday 11am-6pm

Shop your heart out at Renegade Craft Fair: Stock up on locally made gifts for every occasion at this nationally renowned craft fair, where you'll find goods from more than 125 makers, plus DIY workshops, food, drinks and more. Oh, and did we mention we're offering a pretty sweet giveaway? (You can win more than $1,229 worth of goods!) Saturday & Sunday 11am-6pm
