Plan your travel accordingly this afternoon—for the first time since taking office, President Trump will be visiting our fair city in response to the devastation tropical storm Harvey has caused across the state.

His exact route in Austin has not been released, but you'd be wise to avoid traffic after 2pm. The president and first lady will be landing in Corpus Christi a little after 11am, where they'll meet with Texas governor Greg Abbott while being briefed on relief efforts. They'll then fly to Austin and land around 2:30pm, where they'll take a tour of the Texas Department of Public Safety Emergency Operations Center in North Austin and meet with state leadership to discuss tropical storm Harvey. Air Force One will leave for Washington, D.C. at 4:30pm.

President Trump will not be visiting Houston, though he did say he may make a return to Texas on Saturday.

We'll keep you updated on any traffic developments or changes in schedule.
