As if we're not already looking forward to Friday, now there's another, much sweeter prize on the horizon. New York City's legendary Milk Bar from Christina Tosi is in town for a pop-up on Friday afternoon (April 28) at Launderette, as part of a collaboration called Twist with the Holly restaurant and its pastry chef Laura Sawicki. Our sweet, sweet prayers have been answered.

From noon until everything sells out, the bake sale will offer The Twist (Milk's cereal milk soft serve twisted with Launderette's Graham Cracker soft serve), as well as Milk's famous crack pie, plus cookies, truffles and plenty of merch.

So what's the NYC dessert shop doing here to begin with? Tosi is participating in this weekend's Austin Food & Wine Festival, leading a session on Saturday called Turning Milk Bar Cake Into a Lifestyle (a lifestyle we can definitely get behind). The sweets guru recently announced she'd be opening up a Milk Bar in Los Angeles on Melrose, so will Austin be next? Time will tell—but for now, we have Friday to look forward to.

Milk Bar will be popping up at Launderette (2115 Holly St) on Friday, April 28, from noon until the desserts run out.
