We recently told you about Kemuri Tatsu-ya and June's All Day landing on Bon Appétit's Best New Restaurants list, an annual roundup where the magazine highlight the very best newbies across the country. This morning, they released their narrowed down selection—the Hot 10—and Kemuri Tatsu-ya made the final cut at number eight.

The Japanese-Texan izakaya from chefs and owners Tatsu Aikawa and Takuya Matsumoto has been racking up praise ever since it opened in January of this year. It's a place where diners have come to expect great food, inventive drinks (that Puff Puff Pass cocktail, though) and a damn good time, which Bon Appétit's Andrew Knowlton sums up in his description of the restaurant, writing "at no place did I party more than at Kemuri Tatsu-ya in East Austin."

Kemuri shares the list with an über-talented pool that includes New Orleans' Turkey and the Wolf (#1), St. Louis' Nixta (39) and Brooklyn's Hart's (#5). The magazine also named Chicago as the Restaurant City of the Year.

Check out the full Hot 10 list here, and be sure to hit up Kemuri soon—before it gets impossible to get a table.
