Austin Eastciders has been a fixture in our weekly six-pack circuit since it opened in 2014, but the cidery has never been able to give the people a public tasting room—until now. On November 16, Eastciders' first official tasting room will open at their Springdale location, offering five rotating taps of both cider favorites and unreleased goodies. Austin Eastciders Cucumber, we're coming for ya.

Dubbed the "collaboratory" (a mashup of collaborative laboratory), the space is intended to foster experimentation, serve as a meet-up space for members of Austin's creative community and be ground-zero for barrel-aged ciders. There will be live music on Thursdays and Sundays, and the cidery has more programming in store, including shows and events from local artists and creatives. Merch, games (cornhole, darts) and comfortable picnic tables for hanging out while drinking will fill out the tasting room.

While the 1,960-square-foot space won't officially open until Thursday, Austin Eastciders is hosting a soft opening this Sunday from noon to 7pm, with specials from 2 to 3pm and live music from 3 to 5pm. Check 'em out, have a few ciders and start working the tasting room into your regular bar lineup.

Austin Eastciders (979 Springdale Road, Suite 130) is open Thursdays and Fridays 3–10pm, Saturdays noon–10pm and Sundays noon–6pm.
