Fall means festival season, and while we're already looking forward to ACL, Sound on Sound, Austin Film Festival and a few others, there's a brand new festival to add to the docket: Far East Fest.

Described as a "celebration of Asian culture and cuisine in the heart of Texas," Far East Fest will take place on October 1 at the Austin-American Statesman. Tickets, which cost $55 for general admission and $100 for VIP access, include unlimited samples from a growing list of restaurants (kids 12 and under are $15). The vendor lineup currently includes Wu Chow, Thai-Kun, Fukumoto, The Peached Tortilla, Chi'Lantro and a slew of others, with the promise of more being added to the lineup soon. New poke spot, Poke Me Long Time, is also on the list, as is a dessert option: Big Kahuna Donuts.

General admission tickets include unlimited samples of food starting at 1pm; beverages will have to be bought separately. Splurging on that VIP ticket? That'll get you an early start time at noon, plus exclusive food options, alcohol and VIP tickets to RamenExpo (an $80 value).

Who else would you like to see offer food at the fest? Le us know in the comments below!
