On October 28, culinary talent gathered at the World Congress Center for the 2024 Michelin Guide Atlanta Ceremony to find out which restaurants earned one of Michelin’s highly coveted stars. This event, following award ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York, marked another exciting chapter in the Michelin Guide’s expansion across the United States.
While none of the eateries secured the highly elusive two- or three-star status, four brand new restaurants rose to prominence with their first Michelin star. The honored newcomers include O by Brush, Omakase Table, Spring and Staplehous—each recognized for exceptional cooking and high-quality ingredients. With these additions, Atlanta now boasts a total of nine one-star Michelin restaurants, five of which were awarded last year.
But that’s not all of the good news coming out of the Big Peach: Four more restaurants also received Bib Gourmand designations, a distinction recognizing restaurants offering yummy food at moderate prices. In addition to the stars and Bib Gourmand, Michelin highlighted individual culinary excellence through four special awards, with Miles Macquarrie taking the trophy for exceptional cocktails.
