There's a world of spectacular drinking dens to be discovered across Asia, and if you don't know where to start, then The World's 50 Best Bars list is a good place to do so. With two weeks to the reveal of the top 50 best bars in the world, the prestigious list has released its extended 51-100 list for 2024 – and Asia is winning big.
This year, a total of 13 bars from Asia make rank. Topping the chart is The SG Club from Tokyo, Japan at No. 54, which shakes up the best of both vibes with casual vibes on the first floor and a sophisticated experience on the second.
But Singapore shines with three entries on the extended list – the most of any Asian country – with agave and rice spirit focused bar Cat Bite Club debuting at No. 56, the long-established and well-loved Native rising 16 places to No. 67, and the sexy hole-in-the-wall Night Hawk also making a debut at No.74.
Hong Kong, Japan and Thailand also make good showings with two bars each in the 51-100 list. Notable new entries include Hong Kong's The Savoury Project at No. 82, which might be no surprise knowing it's the brainchild of the award-winning team behind Coa. Worth celebrating is also the entry of Smoke & Bitters (No. 86) in Hiriketiya – the first-ever entry for Sri Lanka and putting it on the map for cocktail lovers all over the world.
There are more rising stars from Malaysia, Korea, and China to put on your drink list – here's the full list of Asian bars that made it to The World's 50 Best Bars 51-100 list:
