This spanking new branch of the reliable hostel chain opened its doors in July 2007 in a grand old school building. Aimed very much at families and the more discerning hosteller - HI members get a discount - they offer City Break packages (from €79), which include a welcome drink, dinners, bike rental and museum entry - just like a proper hotel, in fact. There are a whopping 490 beds in bedrooms sleeping two to eight, and no dorms. This branch is part of Stayokay's new designer concept from Edward van Vliet, done out in warm reds, with mosaic floors, sleek but simple furniture and huge photos on the walls.
