Time Out says

Adelaide’s favourite naughty weekender is the McLaren Vale Wine Region, an hour south on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The region’s must-try restaurant is the the Salopian Inn, a reinvented 1851 stone pub. Given the location, it’s no surprise that the cellar here is bodacious: descend into the gloom to select your shiraz. The gin list is mesmerising, too (200 varieties!)… all of which makes a tantalising prelude to the main event – chef Karena Armstrong’s dazzling menu, laced with Fleurieu seafood and farm produce.
