Change is the only constant on high rent Rundle Street in Adelaide’s east end but the secret of Lemongrass’s staying power isn’t complicated: a bright, uncluttered interior; quick-fire service; and a menu of mains (noodles, soups, salads, curries, stir-fries) that has remained under the $25 ceiling for a good decade (plenty under $20, too). Beyond the predictable inclusions – green and red curries, tom yum, pad Thai – you’ll find a fragrant yellow barramundi curry and a sensational mango and prawn stir-fry. There are loads of vegetarian and gluten-free options too, and you can take away.
