Laksa House

The laksas here are legendary, the service is swift and no-nonsense and the plates and bowls are filled to the brim. There are seven different types of Laksa on the menu – including an intriguing dumpling laksa for those who want it all in a single bowl. There is fried rice, hokkien and Singapore noodles on offer, not to mention the comically named wet ho fun and dry ho fun. Dry ho fun is something between a pad see ew and a pad kee mao with thick rice noodles, prawn, fish, chicken and a touch of chilli. The only vegetables are slices of green onion - more for flavour than vitamin content - and bean shoots. Asian comfort food at its best.
