Time Out says

Yep, it’s a weird name, but that doesn’t deter the Flying Trunk’s loyal fan base, who roll in after work for cocktails and tapas before the long bus ride home. It comes from a surreal Hans Christian Andersen tale, but perhaps the name refers to travel luggage, as ‘departure’ is definitely a theme here: a suspended reality of whiskey sours beneath a semi-Swiss wall mural suggesting that you aren’t actually in Adelaide at all, and mightn’t be when you wake up tomorrow. This place may just be the perfect after-work salve.
