This Adelaide Hills B&B is renowned for its extensive and varied gardens, lovingly tended by the owners since the early 1980s. There are several distinct gardens, walks and planted areas to explore, each with their own microclimate. The Creek Garden, located in an 80 metre deep valley, has cool, moist conditions perfect for rhododendrons, azealeas, hydrangeas, magnolias and a 12-metre laburnum arch that bursts into golden flower each year. It's a far cry from the tough plants in the Dry Garden with its aloes, casuarinas, euphorbias and ponytail palms, or the Italian Walk with its rows of slender "pencil pine" trees from Florence and giant Traventine urns from Tuscany.
To access the bucolic gardens, contact the property to arrange a private tour. Alternatively, book yourself into the B&B and stroll the grounds at your leisure.
