The eponymous Delphy cleverly spotted a wide gap in the Accra hotel market: that of mid-priced B&B accommodation. Amazingly, there’s nothing like it in the city, and as a result it’s very successful. But it’s not all down to hitting a niche – Delphy’s affable nature and excellent staff means that people just keep coming back. There are only a handful of rooms, each basic but well-appointed with air-con, TV, desk, wardrobe and a good en suite bathroom. The courtyard area is a lovely spot to relax at the end of the day. There’s a small covered area with a couple of sofas, and a table around which guests can tuck into the substantial breakfast (stunning jams!). Inside there’s a little communal seating area too, with a small library. The Labone location is a short taxi ride from Osu, and Cantonments, as well as Labone’s hub.
